March 2020, a time when the world changed. Lockdown. All doom and gloom, we couldn’t go anywhere, schools were closed, shops were shut and we couldn’t even pop over the local for a swift half!
This led to turf creating @VisitBridgend on Instagram purely to ‘spread some positivity and to help realise what’s on our doorstep’. It was given a brand, which became a flurry of photos taken from in and around Bridgend by ourselves and contributors who would tag the Instagram account.
It really took off. At a time when people were on their mobile phones more than ever, we stopped them playing Candy Crush and the like with an Instagram account Bridgend locals could browse for inspiration about where to go, what to do or just to make them feel better during the dark days of 2020!
